Peggy Merrill

Peggy has over 25 years of teaching experience in both the public and private sectors. She holds a Masters degree in Education from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelors degree in Education from The University of Texas at Austin.

Her interest in computer graphics and document design developed while she was at Purdue University, where she studied Journalism and began a career as a free-lance writer. When she moved to Seattle, she opened a desktop publishing firm where she honed her skills in PageMaker, PowerPoint and FreeHand. As she migrated from print to online publications, she added the rest of the Adobe and Macromedia products to her repertoire.

Her current areas of teaching expertise include HTML/ XHTML, CSS, and Adobe Photoshop Elements, as well as the complete Adobe Creative Suite. She regularly teaches at Bellevue Community College in the Continuing Education Program, as well as at Cascadia Community College and the University of Washington. She also consults on the design and creation of web sites for a variety of clients.
